MACED Enterprise Development

Small business owners and entrepreneurs are the foundation of our economy. They need financial support, training and encouragement to follow their dreams. MACED provides these critical resources to turn those dreams into reality.

Creating Opportunity
Across Appalachian Kentucky

MACED works with enterprises that create jobs, diversify local economies and provide critical community services in the 54 Appalachian Kentucky counties. This work is a part of MACED’s broader efforts to help move Eastern Kentucky into a post-coal economy. We believe there are many ways to build an economy, but only a few that ensure wealth is rooted locally and will benefit more people and places. Learn more (links to about page) about MACED’s Appalachian Transition work, which focuses on policy, promising economic sectors and community demonstration projects.
